Hello!
My name is Hannah Rochford and I am in my fourth year of the 4-YR Bachelor of Education program at UVIC. I am originally from the mainland (Langley to be specific) but have moved to Victoria for school. I love the island and am hoping to stay here after I am finished with school.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was little. It was the only career I ever wanted so I knew that was what I was meant to do! I absolutely adore kids and I love working with them. I am hoping to teach primary when I land a teaching job. After being in a grade 1 classroom for my past practicum in the fall semester I am leaning towards teaching grade 1 at least for the first couple of years. I work for an after-school care program and work with the Canucks Autism Network.
In my free time, I like to watch tv, hang out with my friends, and exercise. If I wasn’t in school to be a teacher and had to pick a different profession, I would definitely go into nutrition and become a Dietitian. I am super interested in healthy eating and how it makes our bodies feel.
