Hi Zoe, really great post this week, you broke down open pedagogies in a way that I completely understand, An open pedagogical practice is extremely important to follow even in an elementary setting and I think it is one of the most important teaching approaches. I have followed co-creating policies with students in my line of work. At the beginning of the year in our after-school care program, students and the leaders discuss some rules to follow to make sure there we ensure a fun, and safe environment.
I learned about open resources in one of my other tech classes and I found it hard to relate to it from an elementary standpoint but after Zoe reminded me that open resources are also youtube videos and things you find free online they can also provide elementary students with a more meaningful learning experience.
